Priced variations for video production
An extra cut, another film or a changed requirement needs a clear decision. Keep the original agreement visible while you describe, price and record the change.

Compare the request with the original
Open the job and choose Propose variation. Review the original accepted agreement, including its films and versions. Explain the new request and how it changes the work.
The producer makes this comparison. The app does not scan emails for scope creep or decide automatically whether an item should cost extra.
Price only the changed work
Describe the additional work and any explicit replacements. Add its films or other deliverables, named versions, formats, shoot requirements and revision allowance. Enter the line items, tax and additional-work due date.
The original quote remains unchanged. The variation uses the accepted quote currency and calculates its own subtotal, tax and additional total. Review the complete proposal before sharing it.
Share the proposal and record the decision
Saving creates a pending variation; it does not send a message or approve work. Use Copy for client and share the proposal through your normal communication process.
Once the client decides, choose Record decision, select approved or declined and record who decided, when and where the confirmation is kept. This records evidence; it does not collect an electronic signature.
Add work only when it is approved
Approval creates one task per variation delivery version with its additional-work due date. The job shows approved extras including tax. Pending and declined amounts are excluded; the original quote total remains separate.
A declined variation remains in the history without creating tasks. Approval does not invoice the client, charge a card or update accounting software. If work is replaced, review affected original tasks and the overall job dates yourself.
Common questions
Can a client approve inside a portal?
Not in this release. Share the proposal using your existing process, then have your team record the decision and supporting evidence.
Does an extra version change the original quote?
No. Accepted quotes remain fixed. The variation records the changed work, price and decision separately, while approved extra tasks stay with the job.
Do I need Gmail connected?
No. You can prepare a variation, copy it for the client and record the decision without activating a connected service.
