Video production quote template

A useful video production quote connects the price to a defined piece of work. Start with the outcome, spell out what is included and make the next decision clear.

Write the scope before the total

“One corporate video” leaves too much open. Define the number of films, approximate duration, formats, captions, filming allowance and editing allowance. Name the revision rounds and the person who will consolidate feedback.

Then connect your line items to that scope. Use your own company’s rates and state the currency. A package can sit beside separately priced travel, extra filming or specialist services. The template below intentionally leaves commercial values blank.

Give the client a clear decision

Include a quote reference, version, issue date and validity period. Explain how the client should approve the proposal and what needs to happen before dates can be confirmed. Keep any deadlines dependent on assets or approvals explicit.

Review payment terms, permissions, licensing and cancellation arrangements for your actual work. This is an operational quote structure, not a substitute for your business’s approved contract.

Use the template in the CRM

Create a lead and quote using your rate card. Add each deliverable and its named versions, then complete the shoot, revision, duration and format checks. Save and review the draft before sending. Recording acceptance preserves that quote version and creates one task per named delivery version. Price later changes as variations from the job.

The downloadable text can also be used in your existing document tool. It does not calculate totals; the app’s quote editor does.

Use the template

Adapt the fields to your own production and review the details before sharing it with a client.

Common questions

Should editing be a separate quote line?

It can be, especially when you price by the day or hour. For a package, describe the editing allowance in the scope so the client can understand what the fixed price includes.

Is this a market-price guide?

No. It is a quote structure. Enter your own rates and assess the production’s actual requirements.
